These websites are useful: https://deafdogsrock.com/beginning-sign-training or http://www.deafdogs.org/training/signs.php. Also: http://www.deafdogs.org/training/ ~A website for people with deaf dogs and those considering adopting them. It has general training tips. Falcor has some paw-some personality ready for you! Foster Home Feedback 7/24/25 Foster Feedback: Falcor may not be able to hear, but he's all smiles, and his gorgeous eyes are sure to melt your heart. He starts his day off with scritches on his face, ears, and a hug. He loves affection, pets, kisses, cuddles, and has the softest fur. Falcor is on week two of a six-week training class and doing amazing. We are working on sit, stay, mat, greeting friends with all 4 paws on the floor, and leave it. We practice daily to keep him fresh while learning these new skills. We are kennel training Falcor for 5-6 hrs during the day. He doesn't love it but settles down in 10-15 minutes. Falcor startles easily, so we approach his kennel softly when letting him out. He does sleep in his kennel overnight. Falcor has tons of energy and likes to play tug and Frisbee. He plays well with our 10-month-old puppy and our other foster pup. He will need slow introductions with other dogs. Overall, he is one happy dude looking for his special family. ** Falcor is Lyme & Anaplasmosis positive. These are tick-borne illnesses, and he is currently being treated with Doxycycline.
