My story

Cal Ripken Jr., Ken Griffey Jr., Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Junior the cat! Junior the handsome brown tabby was recently surrendered to EHS, and is ready to begin his search for a permanent home! He has made the brief trip east from Steel Town to EHS, where he is adjusting well to shelter life.  ABOUT JUNIOR- In foster- Junior is a confident, sweet boy who enjoys human company.- He will meow for attention and will head-butt when he wants more. - Junior can become easily overstimulated, so an adopter who has the ability to read cat body language will ensure he directs his energy in an appropriate manner.- While at the shelter, he enjoyed sitting on volunteers’ laps and chilling on his bed.- Junior loved climbing on kennels whenever he could. A cat tree will be a welcome addition in his forever home. - He loves treats and can be convinced to do almost anything for a snack.- Junior likes to swat at the feather wand. Might he be contemplating a home run?- Junior is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations. JUNIOR’S IDEAL HOME- As we get to know Junior, we will be better able to determine a home that is conducive to his nature.- He tends to become overstimulated quite easily, so a home with no young children and an experienced cat owner is advisable.- Junior is on medication to help him to calm his reactive tendencies. - He will need to be the only cat in his home.- EHS will offer a short foster-to-adopt period before finalizing the adoption to assist Junior with successfully transitioning into a forever home. During this time, our skilled volunteers will offer support to the potential adopters as they get to know Junior and help ensure everyone settles in comfortably together. While Junior won’t make his mark in the baseball world, he certainly hopes he will find a place in your heart. Why not schedule a time to meet Junior, and you might just hit your own home run! If you have any questions about Junior or the adoption process, please contact cats@etobicokehumanesociety.com

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Junior, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
