Iris

My story

My wife and I saved Iris while we were living in San Antonio, TX. We found her roaming the streets looking for water on a very hot summer day, so we took her in. We couldn't find her owner, so we decided she'd live with us. She's an amazing dog with a great personality, she's amazing with people, and she's very fun to be around. Unfortunately, we later found out that she did not like our other dogs, so we want to find her a better home where she doesen't have the competition to be the #1 dog in the house. She's a true husky, and loves to talk. She's also an escape artist like all huskies, and will try to run off for her own adventure if you're not careful. She is crate-trained but sometimes needs a treat to go into the crate. She was trained, but we haven't kept up with it so she's forgotten most of the commands. But if you give it another shot, she is very receptive to dog training. She's a great travel dog - we've taken her to state parks around Texas, Virginia and Maryland.
