My story

Meet Valkyrie – a joyful, playful Vizsla mix with a heart full of love and a spirit that shines through everything she does! This 80-pound beauty is a water-loving girl who lights up every yard and pool she steps into. Whether she’s splashing in the water, chasing toys, or romping around with her dog friends, Valkyrie’s zest for life is contagious. She’s friendly, affectionate, and thrives in an active environment where she can be part of the action and enjoy plenty of playtime and companionship. Valkyrie is also crate trained, house trained, and would do best in a home with older children who are steady on their feet and comfortable around a big, energetic dog. Valkyrie was found in a rural area, injured—she had been hit with birdshot all throughout her body. Despite everything she’s been through, she has made a remarkable recovery and embraces life with enthusiasm and joy. Her strength and resilience are nothing short of inspiring, and she’s ready to leave the past behind and step into the bright future she deserves. Valkyrie was born on February 17, 2023, and is currently being fostered in Fort Worth, Texas. Now she’s ready to find her forever family—a place where she can be safe, loved, and cherished for the incredible dog she is. All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas, Colorado, or Pennsylvania. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days.
