This sweet little one was found wet, tiny and alone on a stormy day by an amazing colony caregiver who got her to safety with us. She was struggling to eat and couldn't close her mouth. A vet visit discovered her jaw was broken and an injury to her eye was also found. We surmise that she had been removed from her family by a predator and carried by her head to cause the damage. She healed quickly with some vet care and help from her great foster momma, and her jaw is fully functional with no issues. She has grown into a spunky, active, happy little girl who loves to play with the other kitties at her foster home. She enjoys her quiet snuggle time too and lots of belly rubs! She is FIV/FelV negative, flea treated and dewormed, up to date on her vaccines and will come with a voucher for her spay at 6 months, done in Woodstock at our vet. To facilitate the spay surgery, applications from locations within half an hour distance from Woodstock will be considered. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING! An adoption application can be found at www.oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com (click on Adopt, then Cats for Adoption, then scroll to the bottom of the page). We require 2 non-familial references (including contact numbers) as well as permission to speak with your vet. Please note that yearly vet visits are a requirement for all our adopted kitties. If this is not your past practice, your application will not move forward. You must be 21 years old to adopt. The adoption fee is $200. It may take up to 72 hours to approve your application. Please provide all requested information, including contact numbers, to help expedite the process. Repeated phone calls and emails will not move your application along. We are a volunteer, foster based rescue. We are not able to facilitate meet and greets before an application is received. You are not able to meet multiple kitties to see if one fits as the animals may be fostered in different locations. Please help us get the kitties to their forever homes by respecting these guidelines!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Yukiko, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
