My story

Robbie is a quiet, older gentleman. Before coming into our care, he lived his life with a single, senior lady in a very quiet home. He did not receive a lot of socialization, but his foster family is working with helping him to be comforatable outside of his safe indoor space. He was overweight, a combination of lack of excersise and unhealthy eatting. He is now receiving many regular leash walks daily and a low calorie quality food and is now enjoying the extra activity and playtime. He is still working on 'sharing' his favorite human with both 2 and 4 legged friends, and is not as reactive as he initially was. He still needs reminders and slow movements are best for him. He loves to cuddle and now enjoys sleeping with his foster brother friend. He would do best in a quiet home, with older or no children. He is neutered, is up to date on his vaccines, is heartworm negative and has been flea and tick treated, and is microchipped. His adoption fee is $500. You must be 21 years old to adopt and provide vet and personal references. An application to adopt him can be found on our website www.oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com. All applications are reviewed, and if we feel you might be a good fit for him, you will be contacted to arrange a home visit as well as for permission to speak with your vet. Repeated phone calls and emails with not advance your application. We are a volunteer, foster based rescue and there is no opportunity to meet him before an application has been approved.
