My story

Meeting friendly and energetic Truffle the dog will be the highlight of your day! Truffle is an adult lady dog weighing 55lbs of pure love. She loves to go on walks and is interested in sniffing around whether it be her toys or new friends! Truffle is strong on leash and could benefit from continued training and walking experience to solidify her leash manners. She met another dog here at the shelter and the greeting went well. That being said, Truffle tends to fixate on other dogs while on walks and in the kennels, so working on focus training would be very beneficial for her. If you have another canine family member, we recommend bringing them in to meet Truffle and make sure she is a good fit for your pack! Truffle is sure to charm you with her winning personality and adorable grin. Come meet and adopt Truffle the dog, today! This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!Be sure to check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
