My story

Howdy from Texas! I’m a pretty female Pointer mix named Pigeon. I am about 3 years old, weigh 49 lbs, and I was left locked inside a crate with no food or water for days after my owner moved away. Thankfully, someone found me because I desperately needed veterinary care. I was underweight, crawling with fleas, missing some fur, and both ears were infected. I had a mass on my leg and one on my toes, and 4 Little Paws Rescue took care of everything. These days, I am healthy and happy, and although I have areas where fur may never grow back, it doesn't bother me at all. My foster mom says I am a smart and happy girl who makes friends easily and listens well. I play with my doggy friends a little, and I love chewing on Nylabone/Benebone-style dog toys. I am good on a leash and good in the car, know how to use a doggy door, and I’m housebroken. You should know I’m a cuddler and a bit of a couch potato, although I have not had a chance to be adventurous and see what an active lifestyle is like. Otherwise, I'm content just being snuggled beside you, watching TV. I’m just a sweet girl who has had a tough life, and I am eagerly awaiting a wonderful future as someone's forever dog. I hear the Eastern Seaboard is the place to be, so inquire about me today! * 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast.
