My story

Location: St Paul, MN Meet Leo! 🦁 Leo is a sweet, snuggly boy who wants nothing more than to be by your side — especially curled up next to you on the couch. With a surprisingly low energy level for his age, Leo is content with leisurely walks (he’s great on a leash!) and lots of cuddle time. He’s good with kids and mostly housetrained, though he’s had a few accidents that may be due to the stress of transitioning into a new home. Leo is highly intelligent — sometimes too smart for his own good! He can figure out how to escape most kennels, even heavy-duty ones, so he does best sleeping in your bedroom where he’ll be calm and well-behaved. He doesn’t chew on anything but his toys and bones, and he only gets into mischief when left alone and feeling anxious. Leo doesn’t like being left by himself, so if you work outside the home or need to be away, he’ll need another friendly dog around for company. He has been known to jump over 4-foot gates, though he’s shown he can resist the urge with a little guidance. Still, baby gates and solo confinement aren’t the best choices for this clever pup. With his long, lion-like mane, Leo will need regular grooming — but he’s worth every brush stroke. This handsome guy has so much love to give and will thrive in a home where he’s not just a pet, but a close companion. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
