Recently rescued from the shelter, she's traded kennel chaos for naps on bean bags and beds, and she couldn’t be happier about it. Powder Puff has all the charm of a classic Shih Tzu: calm, quiet, and totally unbothered by the hustle of the world. She hasn’t barked once in her foster home (yes, really!) and gets along beautifully with dogs and humans alike. She’ll politely sniff new canine friends, but don’t expect zoomies—this girl is a couch potato through and through. Her favorite activity? Snoring on soft surfaces, only interrupted by the smell of food or the promise of a leisurely walk. Speaking of walks: she enjoys them, but in true diva fashion, she sometimes needs a little encouragement (or a snacky bribe) to keep going. She’s got no interest in squirrels, other dogs, or barking at passersby—her vibe is “graceful observer,” not “enthusiastic chaser.” Powder Puff isn’t a cuddler… yet. But she’s been inching closer each night on the bed, showing slow but steady trust. She’s more of a low-key velcro dog: she’ll follow you from room to room, just to be nearby, but she prefers to lounge a few feet away on something plush. Potty notes: She’s mostly housetrained and reliably potties outside, though she may have the occasional accident while adjusting to a new schedule. With a little consistency and patience, she'll have it down. The ideal home? A mellow one. Powder Puff would thrive in a quiet home with minimal stairs (she’s short and struggles with long flights), without super active dogs or kids who expect playtime. She’s low-maintenance and easygoing—just a soft space, a snack here and there, and some gentle encouragement are all she needs. Why adopt Powder Puff? Because if you're looking for a peaceful, gentle companion with a heart of gold (and the napping skills of a champion), she’s your girl. She's the kind of dog who brings serenity to your home—and maybe a few laughs when she snores like a tiny old man on your bean bag. Ready to let this fluffy marshmallow melt into your heart?
