Adoption fee: $700 Meet Kit 4 months old ~19 lbs Australian Cattle Dog Mix Rescued with her brother Kaboodle Kit is a spunky, sweet, and smart little pup looking for her person! This adorable ACD mix was rescued from a shelter with her brother and has been settling into foster life like a champ. When she first arrived, she was shy and unsure, sticking close to her crate and cautiously watching the world go by. But over time, Kit has blossomed into a playful, affectionate pup who’s learning that the world isn't such a scary place after all. Kit’s daily routine is structured to help her feel secure. She wakes up around 7am, heads out for a potty break, and has some playful zoomies with her foster sibling before breakfast. She spends time in her crate while her foster mom works from home, and then enjoys play breaks, meals, and enrichment throughout the day. She’s still a bit nervous about new things, but now she’ll sniff around and investigate —and that’s a huge win. Kit loves playing with her small foster dog buddy—wrestling, chasing, toy-sharing, and even napping together. While she’s not much of a cuddler, Kit loves kisses and affection and will happily give you a smooch or two. She isn’t clingy, but she does like to know where her people are. She’s curious, observant, and extremely responsive to her environment— making her a great candidate for continued training. Kit learned the potty routine within 48 hours of arriving in her current foster home and is now completely potty trained. She is one smart cookie! Kit is a active puppy who needs both physical and mental stimulation. She just started going on walks and is really enjoying being out and about. She’s a strong chewer, so hard toys are a must, and she enjoys keeping herself busy with toys (or socks—her favorite treasure to “bury” in secret spots around the house). When it comes to cats, Kit is curious and interested, but not aggressive. She may be an option for a home with a dog-savvy cat that doesn't mind interacting. The ideal home for Kit An active adopter with a training plan and a heart full of patience. She’d love a dog sibling to play with and learn from, and she needs someone committed to helping her learn and grow. Kit is a bright, intuitive pup who is eager to learn and connect with her humans. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will grow alongside you—and maybe even bury your socks as a sign of love—then Kit might just be your girl. July 12, 2025, 1:25 am
