My story

Hi, I'm Bailey! My story starts in a puppy mill in Colorado-an overcrowded, dirty, and scary place where over 150 of us were kept in terrible conditions. I came here to Wisconsin with my nine sisters, hoping for something better... something safer. Out of all my sisters, I'm one of the most skittish. I've been through a lot, and it takes me time to feel comfortable. I prefer to keep to myself and quietly observe from a distance. I'm not the kind of dog who will rush up for attention - but if you're patient and calm, I may slowly begin to trust you in my own quiet way. Because of how sensitive I am, I would do best in a peaceful home, ideally with older, respectful children who understand that I need space and time. I do well with other dogs and would really benefit from having a calm, confident canine friend to help guide me as I adjust to life in a home - something I've never experienced before. I know I'm not the easiest dog, but I have a gentle heart that's worth the wait. If you can offer me a safe, understanding home where I'm allowed to go at my own pace, I'll be forever grateful.
