My story

Meet Josie – A Mama Cat Ready for Her Quiet Forever! Josie has spent the last couple of months in foster care proving just how resilient and sweet she truly is. When she first arrived, Josie was frightened and unsure of humans—but never aggressive. With time, patience, and kindness, she has blossomed into a gentle, affectionate cat who now purrs, enjoys being petted, and chooses to hang out near her people (especially near the kitchen and couch!). A proud and nurturing mama, Josie lovingly raised five beautiful kittens. Even now, she still calls them over to share treats and offer comfort. It's just the kind of selfless heart she has. Josie is a certified couch potato and prefers lounging to playing. She’s a quiet, somewhat shy cat who has made incredible progress. She still gets nervous with visitors and is wary of being picked up, but she’ll happily curl up nearby or come over for affection—on her terms. When she’s had enough attention, she’ll politely walk away. She currently lives in a home with older children (ages 11–18) and does well with them. She’s not a fan of dogs and needs another cat in her home. Fun facts about Josie: -Purring pro when she’s comfy -Very food motivated -Loves Temptation treats -Sleeps on her back with legs stretched—adorable!
