My story

  At approximately 10 weeks old, Baby Hans is one of the sweetest pups you will ever meet. He is what we would call an old soul. He can be calm and easy, definitely loving, but when he's ready to play with his puppy companions, he is ready to show the not so old soul part of himself. We don't know why he lost his first family at such a young age, but he is ready now for his real family, the one that will be there with him forever. Even though he can be easy going and calm at times, he still needs a family that is experienced with the GSD/GSD mix breed. His Hans' forever home needs to have another dog companion. He looks up to his other dog to learn how to behave and as a playmate. No better teacher for a puppy than a well balanced dog. Puppies are a life-long commitment. They need time, training, vet care and healthy feeding to become good canine citizens. Don't even think of adopting a puppy unless you intend to invest the time and money and commitment required, and you can expect to lose a few good shoes along the way! Don't forget to fill out our online application.   The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $400. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems. Our adoption process begins with completing an application on-line. A phone screening will soon follow, and lastly a home visit will be conducted by our volunteers.July 21, 2025, 10:18 pm
