If you were a kid in the 1995, you might remember the animated film, “The Thief and the Cobbler.” If you weren’t, the story is about the power of seemingly insignificant acts, bravery and love. Well, that’s pretty much the story of our Tack the Cobbler. The person who found him in a carrier in an apartment complex, without any food, probably didn’t realize how significant his actions were when he brought him here. Now Tack is in foster care, getting over his initial distrust of people and waiting for his significant event: adoption! Just like the animated character, he’s shy but has been brave with his foster, who says he’s turned into a loving fur ball. He loves to be near her and looks forward to his morning and evening playtime to practice his “catness” by play hunting. Other times he just wants to look out the window and snuggle with his person. Tack has also mastered the art of making biscuits, a sign of contentment, and could have a future as Tack the Baker. He would do best in a cat savvy home, with no younger children. All Tack the Cobbler needs now is a happy ending to his story. Will you write if for him? Sassy cats are usually confident, intelligent and active. They often don’t like to be held, or have places on their bodies that they prefer not to be touched. When handled or petted in ways they do not prefer, they are likely to swat, nip or bite. They will be happiest in adult only homes or those with older kids who understand cats that have rules and will leave them alone. If they are bored then they may get into trouble and often need extra playtime in order to be their best selves. Sassy cats will go home with a behavior plan that will need to be followed in order for EVERYONE in the home to be happy. Typically, sassy cats are not for first-time cat owners. Ready to Adopt?
