My story

Foster Update: "Yogi/Colgate is an adorable squatty medium sized boy that is friendly and eager for attention and security. He has had no issues with the other dog or cat in the home. They sleep in the same room, but are fed separately. Toy time is also supervised as Yogi/Colgate doesn't like sharing his toys with other animals . Yogi/Colgate is fine sleeping on the floor or in a dog bed, but secretly would love a home where he can sleep on the bed or couch...he's tried sneaking his way onto the couch for a quick nap a couple times. Yogi/Colgate enjoys spending time outside exploring the yard, but also enjoys spending time next to his people."   COLGATE - 2-4 years old, 50 pounds, house trained, dog, cat and older kid social, energetic. If you love energy, you'll love COLGATE! He is jumpy and bouncy from the start. He is high on life you could actually say even though he is back in a shelter bc his apartment complex decided they didn't want his breed.  Colgate loves to play with all kinds of toys but is scared of balloons and hair dryers. He loves treats, even popping up to grab your treat bag every once in a while!  That puppy behavior still comes through many times in this 4 year old boy. He also loves loves loves all kinds of food, especially chicken nuggets, and would sell his owner for some of these.  Colgate loves his humans.  We are told Colgate knows several commands when he is calm (LOL) and will even wait to eat until you give him a kiss on the forehead. Pretty cute, eh? Colgate smiles a lot. He also can give a serious look but it's way too cute as well. Zoomies galore outside but Colgate does not like being left alone and may show some anxious behaviors when left alone. This can be manageable so please don't hesitate to ask for advice. We were told he is crated when left alone.
