My story

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption fee: $700 Meet Kung Fu Panda – The Snuggly Socialite with a Cheese Addiction! Looking for a best friend who literally thinks you're the best person in the world? Enter Kung Fu Panda, a 3–4 year old English Bulldog mix with the body of a lowrider and the heart of a golden retriever. Weighing in at 62 pounds of pure love and belly-rub energy, Panda is what happiness would look like if it had four legs and made piggy noises. Panda’s Greatest Hits: Social butterfly status: She hasn’t met a human or dog she doesn’t adore. Whether you're the mailman, her walker, or a neighbor passing by, she’ll greet you like you’re her long-lost soulmate. Snuggle queen: Personal space? Never heard of it. Panda wants maximum contact, constant hugs, and all the belly rubs. She is a world-class cuddler and a professional heart-melter. Squirrel patrol captain: She takes her backyard duties very seriously, but she’s no barker—just a vigilant gargoyle (complete with the sound effects). Low to the ground, high on life: With her squat little frame and signature sploot, she’s built for lounging, loving, and occasionally leaping into open car doors if she thinks you’re going on an adventure. Daily Life with Panda: Wakes up at 8am with a luxurious stretch and some solid downward dog. Potty break, snuggles, then breakfast at 8:30 (she’s especially motivated by cheese, in case you were wondering). Morning walk around 9:30 where she may slightly pull to say hi to her admirers. Follows her people around the house during the day, with plenty of yard patrols and friend-watching from the front lawn. Dinner at 5, another walk, and by 10pm she’s sprinting to her crate for bedtime snackies like the good girl she is. Other Notables: Crate pro  Mostly potty trained   Car rides? YES PLEASE. Even if they’re not your car. She’s ready. Selective hearing? Sure. She’s too busy being cute. Final Verdict: Panda is, in the words of her foster, a phenomenal dog who “can’t be recommended enough.” If you’re looking for a lowriding, cheese-loving, affection-seeking, crowd-winning sweetheart who wants to go wherever you go, Kung Fu Panda is ready to karate-chop her way into your heart. Adopt Panda. You’ll never hug alone again.July 20, 2025, 2:30 pm
