This unlikely but heartwarming duo met in the shelter after being trapped in the same neighborhood, and though we’re not sure if they’re family by blood, they’ve certainly decided to be family by choice. One look at them snuggled up together in the middle of their three-cage penthouse suite and you’ll understand why these two are a package deal.Our shelter is open Tuesday-Sunday from 12-4 (closed Mondays). He’s got a slow blink and a soft heart, especially when it comes to his pint-sized roommate. Chicken Noodle is a 2-month-old short-haired brown tabby with an adventurous spirit and a noodle-y little body that fits just right under Tom’s protective paw. She’s playful, curious, and already winning hearts left and right.Both Tom and Chicken Noodle tested positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus)—a condition that affects a cat’s immune system and can lead to a shorter lifespan. However, many FeLV+ cats can live happy, comfortable lives with proper veterinary care, good nutrition, and lots of love. They must be the only cats in the home or live with other FeLV+ kitties, and we’re looking for an adopter who has a strong relationship with a trusted vet and understands the commitment of caring for FeLV+ cats.Tom Fat Cheeks and Chicken Noodle may have started off as two strays with an uncertain future, but together they’ve cooked up a cozy little world of their own.
