My story

Leopard is a gentle, wiggly sweetheart with soft eyes and a wagging tail for everyone she meets. She responds well to guidance and checks in often on her leash. Outside, she is curious and polite, licking hands and trotting around with calm, happy energy. Leopard seems dog social, showing friendly interest in pups nearby. She may come off a little shy at first, but this girl is all heart and ready for a home that will help her shine. Come meet her at ACCT Philly, open daily from 10 am to 6pm. VIDEOS: Playgroup 7/21: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcnvoGYrJkIb1JQn1FLXDGRGv6HUsIxUb BEHAVIOR: 07/20/2025 volunteer notes: Kennel presentation: Leopard had soft eyes and chin resting on kennel bars when I approached. As I opened the kennel door, Leopard jumped up with front paws on kennel and was excited with a wagging, fast low tail. I was able to easily leash leopard as she knelt her head down. Leash skills: She walks with a zig a little bit, but I would say leash pressure is medium. She walks confidently with a high wagging tail. Socialbility: In the dog run I walked over to her and she knelt a little low, and licked my hands- appeared submissive. She licked my treats that I extended but did not take. Happily trotted around the dog run. Toys: No interested in tennis balls. Dog interaction: Saw dogs through the fence and had a high wagging tail but no fixation. Moved on and kept walking. Responds to smoochy sounds and will come over to you when you make them. Kennel return: walked in on her own. Pulled leash over head 07/20/2025 medical staff notes: Stressed but sweet. Food motivated and allowed all handling needed for intake exam - ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week. Please visit www.acctphilly.org/adopt for details. If you are a rescue interested in pulling this animal, please email our lifesaving team, or visit here if you are not currently a rescue partner: https://acctphilly.org/acct-philly-love-local-partnership-program/ Confirmed placement is considered a confirmation of an actual rescue pull. Possible placement, interested parties, and other "TBD" statuses are not considered confirmed and do not indicate an animal is no longer urgent. All animals at ACCT Philly are from Philadelphia, as the only open-intake animal shelter in Philadelphia, we are not able to accept animals from outside of Philadelphia. ACCT Philly’s Pennsylvania kennel license number is 08313

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Leopard, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
