Female, 5 months old, 31 lbs, Hound/Retriever/Lab mix Personality: goofy/funny, loyal, energetic, brave, affectionate, smart, outgoing, playful, adventurous, eager-to-please, snuggler, good running partner, and adaptable. Penny is sunshine in motion! This Hound/Lab mix is the kind of pup who prances like she’s on a parade float, ears flopping and tail swishing with pride. She’ll plop over dramatically for belly rubs from total strangers and beam like she just won a prize. With Penny around, ordinary moments feel like little celebrations. She’s crate trained and snoozes like a champ when needed, though her favorite place is wherever you are. She’ll stick close by as your cheerful shadow, ready to supervise everything from couch lounging to snack fetching. Penny is also doing great with house training. Penny knows a few key words like “come,” “let’s go,” and “potty,” and greets every dog and human like they’re her long-lost best friend. Her favorite move during playtime? The floppy-eared tuck-and-roll. She’s gentle, goofy, and always game for fun. If you’re ready for a little more sunshine in your life, Penny is ready to brighten your every day. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Penny, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
