My story

Meet Jennie, a charming 9-year-old Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix with a heart as bright as her cheerful black and white coat! Weighing in at a petite 25 lbs., Jennie may be small in size, but she is big on love, loyalty, and life. With her alert, perky ears and sweet, expressive eyes, she is always ready for a walk, a cuddle, or a chance to show off her good manners.Jennie is a well-rounded gem—house trained, leash trained, medium energy, and a social butterfly who gets along beautifully with other dogs and adores kids, although her history with cats remains a mystery. She is currently working on her crate training. She is the kind of pup who thrives on shared adventures: strolling through the neighborhood, mingling with other dogs, or people-watching at an outdoor café while practicing her leash skills. Although Jennie is housetrained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. This sweet gal knows how to have fun! Jennie loves a good game of tug-of-war, especially if there is a squeaky toy involved, and would love to learn a few new tricks just to impress her forever family. After playtime, she is all about the snuggles—content to curl up on the couch with you or snooze peacefully in her dog bed, dreaming of belly rubs and love.Jennie is ready to write the next chapter of her life with a family who will cherish her. If you are looking for a loyal, affectionate, and playful companion, Jennie is waiting to steal your heart and fill your home with joy. Come meet your new best friend today!* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Jennie is $300. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.July 30, 2025, 6:57 am

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Jennie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
