My story

A zest for life is what Skippy is all about. He is a fun-loving dog who is ready to bring the fun into the life of his forever family. His has a lively spirit that goes for miles. Skippy is young pup at just one year old and is a mixed breed. He weighs around 54 pounds making him a medium size boy. That makes him a great size companion for all kinds of activities. He can draw in a crowd with his good looks and is more than ready to be a great canine for his forever family. He is learning to acclimate to the changes in his life. With those changes, Skippy can be timid. He will require time and space to adjust to new people and new surroundings. Once comfortable, he will show his more confident side as he gains trust. Skippy loves to mingle and play with other dogs and children. He likes everyone he meets. He has been introduced to cats and can comfortably coexist. Skippy is working on his crate training. His is super proud of already mastering his house and leash training. He is working hard to earn the rewards of accomplishment from learning his skill set. Although Skippy is housetrained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Skippy dances to the beat of his own drum, with great hopes and expectations of finding the family he is meant to be with. His love is unlimited and sharing that love is all he wants to do. Take the next step to bring Skippy into your life by skipping over to our adoption application and apply to adopt him today.* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Skippy is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.July 1, 2025, 8:03 am

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Skippy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
