My story

Meet Rudy! This boy is the best sidekick you could ask for. The kind, goofy guy everyone loves to be around. At 4.5 years old, this sweet shepherd mix has a heart full of love and a joyful spirit. He is cuddly, sweet, playful and ready to find his loving home. Rudy is ready for adventure but brings a calm, easy-to-handle energy that makes every outing a joy. He is a confident boy who knows some impressive training tricks, is very smart, and will leap right into the car, settle in, and enjoy the ride while soaking in the breeze and sights out the window. This happy boy will thank you with the best hugs and snuggles! This boy is known as "Uncle Rudy" around here because of how much he enjoys playing with our younger, smaller pups and showing them the ways of the world. While Rudy may enjoy some supervised playtime with dog friends here at the shelter, he has trouble sharing his things and living spaces and would prefer to be the only pet in the home. He’s truly a soulful companion, ready to spread his love and gentle, loyal energy with his new family. If you're looking for a smart, affectionate, and easygoing dog who will be your hiking buddy, car ride co-pilot, and best friend — Rudy truly is your guy. If you're interested in meeting this sweet boy, please visit him at the Taft Hill location today!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rudy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
