My story

Location: Sioux Falls, SD Meet Sasquatch (a.k.a. Sammy) – Your Future Snuggle Buddy with a Side of Sass! Sammy is a sweet, silly pup who’s full of personality and love! He’s still learning the ropes, but already proving to be a total catch. He has bursts of playful puppy energy, but once he gets his zoomies out, he’s quick to settle down—and that’s when the snuggles begin! Sammy is a true lap dog at heart and wants nothing more than to curl up next to (or on!) his favorite human. This handsome guy is crate trained overnight, keeps his kennel clean, and will go in during the day—though he may let you know he'd rather be hanging out by your side, especially if you are home! He thrives on companionship and will be happiest in a home where he’s included as part of the family. Sammy loves mealtime (seriously, it’s the highlight of his day), so we’re confident he’ll be easily motivated with treats as he continues learning. He hasn’t had much leash time yet, thanks to a big backyard for exploring, but he’s done well on the leash when given the chance. And belly rubs? Oh, they’re his weakness. If he doesn’t feel like cooperating, he’ll flop over and request some quality rub time instead—he’s a total ham about it! As he continues to settle in, we expect Sammy will grow into a medium-energy companion—playful and fun, but also perfectly content to snuggle up and relax. He does have a habit of pawing at you—we're working on helping him learn more polite ways to ask for love, but hey, it’s hard to resist this cute and loving face. If you're looking for a best friend who’s equal parts affectionate and goofy, Sammy might just be your guy! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
