My story

Oliver was rescued from a truck engine by a lifesaving young woman in a very busy parking lot when the heat index was 104 degrees on June 24, 2025. He had burns on his pads and nose when he was rescued but you'd never know it from looking at him now.  The young woman brought him to us, her neighbor, to care for him; we became his foster parents under Triad Independent Cat Rescue. Oliver has progressed quickly from having to be a survivor to thriving and having fun being a kitten.  He exceeds at this!  Oliver loves cuddles, being kissed (especially belly kisses!), giving nose kisses, being combed, taking LONG naps in human laps, talking, and playing, playing, playing.  He LOVES balls; bouncy cat soccer balls, plush balls, ball puzzles, ball towers, ball tracks, hanging balls-balls, balls, balls :)  He's even good at fetching the balls!  Oliver goes bonkers over a good wand toy!  Oliver loves to be up high on indoor cat trees, especially if the sun is streaming in through the window.  He's proud of himself every time he scales the post on the tallest cat tree as if the post is a real tree trunk.  He is an EXCELLENT sneak attacker!  He's absolutely adorable when he jumps out standing upright like a big bear with his arms up over his head and hops on his hind feet to attack.  He also loves to hunt; his favorite to hunt is his semi plush fox, which we find ALL OVER the house.  He loves it so much that he moves it from room to room throughout the day.  Oliver has a VERY loud purr which is on most of the time:)  He is wicked smart and super silly, even when he's sleeping (see the sleeping photo)!  He gets along with our 4 adult cats, even adopting one of our females as his "mommy".  He loves playing chase with each one of them, running top speed through the house!  He's always scratched only on the multiple variety of scratchers provided around the home; not once attempting to scratch on bedding, curtains, or furniture.  He's very laid back when it comes to getting his nails clipped and REALLY enjoys the treats he gets when he's finished.   Oliver is a talker and loves having interactive conversations with each of his humans.  He delights us with his multitude of sounds; our favorite one being his precious woodpecker sound.  He's such an incredible little fella!  He'll provide his forever person/people with nonstop happiness & laughter! Oliver has a Trupanion pet insurance policy that became effective June 28, 2025. His policy can be transferred to his forever family, if you choose to keep him insured.  If not, I can cancel the policy once he's adopted. (We have kept all 4 of our personal cats insured since the day they each entered our home; it has paid for itself in spades!!).  His new family will then become responsible for his inexpensive monthly premium.   ##2464541##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Oliver, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
