0848 Charger

My story

Charger is fostered in Waukesha, WI.   This incredibly handsome guy is Charger.  Charger is a black tri male Australian Shepherd who is 2.5 years old (DOB 11/16/2023), weighing approximately 50 lbs.  He arrived in rescue by way of another rescue network organization.  Charger is a GOOD boy!! Charger is crate trained and loves his crate.  He is potty trained and alerts you in many ways, including a bell.  He is good on the leash, but could use some training not to pull (easy fix).  Charger has excellent recall and even knows some basic commands.  He doesn't love grooming, but he is a good boy for his spa days.   Charger was in a home with children before coming to rescue and there is a 9 year girl helping out at his foster home and he really likes her too!  His favorite place is beside, or with his humans.  He is in a foster home with other dogs, but prefers the company of humans over dog friends.  Charger loves every human he meets and would be a great companion for any household.  He is also playful with the other doggies in his foster home, big and small.  He does like to chase the kitties a little, but when verbally corrected he stops. We think older children 8+ another doggie friend, even a kitty would be fine for his forever home, but a human that will set his structure and boundaries is critical for this boy.  He will test the boundaries and if not given proper verbal direction he will be an opportunist.  Charger is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped and receiving monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks and heartworms.  Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization.  For more information on our adoption process or to complete an adoption application, please visit our website at www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org.
