My story

Say hello to Phoebe, a curious and completely captivating young cat who’s ready for her forever home! Transferred to us at the end of June from an overcrowded shelter, Phoebe is a polydactyl—that means she has extra toes! This genetic trait is completely harmless and makes her paws look like she’s wearing adorable little mittens. Polydactyly is a naturally occurring variation that happens when a cat inherits a gene that causes additional digits and it's often associated with extra dexterity and charm—which Phoebe has in abundance! Phoebe is a green-eyed beauty with a personality as big as her paws. She’s incredibly playful and adores feather wand toys. Watching her pounce and chase them with precision is pure entertainment. Whether she’s leaping through the air or posing perfectly for the camera (and yes, she loves to be photographed), she’ll keep you smiling. She’s been treated for a mild ear infection and is now ready to start her next adventure in your home. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. If you're looking for a smart, energetic and quirky companion with a one-of-a-kind look and personality, Phoebe is your girl. Come meet her and let her show off her extra-special paws—and extra-special heart. The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com.
