My story

Ginger the 27lb young adult dog is adorable and seeking a loving new home! Ginger fancies herself a lapdog, enjoys plush toys, and loves delicious chicken as a treat. Ginger does best on a schedule with regular walks for her health and to promote good potty habits. She is described as very vocal and a bit of a couch potato. Ginger is a little timid when meeting new friends. Give her a minute to warm up to you and a few treats as bribery. You will have an affectionate new BBF in no time! In the past Ginger has done well with other dogs in the home. If you have another canine family member, please bring them to the shelter to meet Ginger and make sure she is a good fit for your pack! Ginger lived in a home with a cat whom she chased and did not get along with. We recommend Ginger going to a home without cats. Ginger also lived successfully with a small child. Come meet and adopt sweet Ginger the dog, today! This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!Be sure to check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
