My story

Scottie is a 1-year-old tan and white Coonhound with a gentle soul and a heart full of quiet joy. With his soft eyes and graceful demeanor, Scottie stands out not just for his striking coat, but for his calm and peaceful nature. Unlike the typical energetic young pup, Scottie exudes a mellow charm—he’s content to lounge in the sun, follow his humans around the house, or quietly explore the outdoors with nose to the ground and tail wagging slowly.Obedient and well-mannered beyond his years, Scottie is a delight to have around. He listens intently, responds kindly to guidance, and finds happiness in simple routines and the companionship of people he trusts. Whether it`s a calm walk on a leash or curling up beside you during a quiet evening, Scottie brings a serene, happy presence that makes every moment feel a little lighter and a lot more loved.ADOPTION PACKAGEThank you for your interest in adopting your next pet from The Haven. Each dog adoption fee of $175 includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, rabies vaccine and tag (age 3 months and up), microchip, deworming, flea/tick/heartworm preventative, a free starter bag of Hills Science Diet, and coupons from area businesses.Please make sure you review the following as part of the adoption process:· Adopter must be 18 years of age or older.· A current government-issued photo ID (no student IDs) - such as a driver`s license, state ID, passport, military ID, etc.· Have a Meet and Greet with the animal and our adoption coordinator (These can be a virtual Meet and Greet session due to COVID-19)· Adopters are responsible for bringing their own travel carrier with them when picking up their new pet.· The Haven accepts cash, check, debit/credit cards, or money orders.* For adopters of cats and dogs aged 6 months or less, or those with a medical condition preventing immediate spaying or neutering, The Haven requires a signed Spay/Neuter (S/N) Agreement and a $100 cash deposit, refundable upon completion of the spay/neuter procedure.
