My story

Tyra’s got the smize, the walk, and the paw-sitivity to take the runway and your heart by storm. When you approach her kennel, she greets you with soft eyes, gentle patience, and undeniable poise. Once leashed, Tyra struts her stuff with grace through the kennels and heading for her outdoor runway. Out there, she mixes moments of solo exploration with fabulous check-ins, always ready for a little love, a sweet word of encouragement, or a taste-tested treat. Tyra isn’t just about the looks, she’s got personality. She’s playful, affectionate, and gentle with every interaction. She’ll chase a squeaky toy with flair, but never clings to it, because like any top model, she knows when to let go and move on to her next pose. Ready to crown Tyra your Best in Show? She’s ready to strut her way into your heart and your home at ACCT Philly, open daily from 10 am to 6 pm BEHAVIOR: 07/17/2025 volunteer notes: KENNEL PRESENTATION: Tyra was at the front of her kennel when I approached. She took a treat gently & waited patiently for me to open the door & leash her. Once leashed, she walked right out. LEASH SKILLS: Tyra didn’t pull at all thorough the kennels but once outside she did tug the leash a bit as we headed to the yard. SOCIABILITY: She is very social and will sit by your side soaking up all the attention you will give. While in the yard Tyra also explored on her own, but often checked in & returned to her handler for more pets, positive affirmations, & treats. She adorably licks treats as if to do a “taste test” before taking them out of your hand. She allows handing over & is very gentle. PLAY & TOYS: Chased stuffies & squeaky towns all over the yard but not retrieve or take possession. DOG INTERACTION: She was interested in other dogs who passed by the fence but we did not do an official meet & greet.
