My story

JAX 2 – 3 years Attributes Dog friendly Needs another dog Crate trained Working on housetraining Good in cars Needs a fence Meet Jax, a sweet soul ready for his second chance. Jax is a 2-3-year-old male Beagle with the heart of a survivor and the spirit of a pup just discovering how joyful life can be. Found alone and emaciated in the woods this past winter, Jax weighed just 16 pounds and was full of worms. He was skittish and deeply unsure of people, especially men—but this resilient boy has come so far in a short time.

 Now healthy, filled out, and full of curiosity, Jax is blossoming into the dog he was always meant to be. He’s crate trained and loves retreating to his cozy space for a nap or a little solo time. House training is still a work in progress, but he understands the basics and is getting better every day.

 Since coming into foster care, Jax has bonded with his foster brother Hank—another Beagle who’s shown him how good the indoor life can be. Together, they explore the yard, bark at squirrels, and occasionally dig up a little mischief. Jax is beginning to trust, play, and even seek out affection. It’s like he’s reliving the puppyhood he never got to experience.

 Jax does well at doggy daycare, travels nicely in the car, and thrives in the company of other dogs. He’ll need a forever home with a confident dog buddy to help continue his journey and a secure yard where he can safely play and explore.

 This boy may be a little shy at first, but with time, love, and another pup to guide him, Jax is sure to become a loyal, goofy, and cherished member of the family.
