Rescued from the shelter and now thriving in her foster home, Laila is a perfect mix of snuggly couch potato and gentle companion, with just enough morning bark to make sure nobody sleeps through breakfast. Laila’s day begins at 7 AM sharp— literally, sharp, because that’s when she lets out her one and only bark of the day. Like clockwork, she gives her signature “Good morning, world!” woof, then heads to the backyard for her potty break, followed by a peaceful stroll at 7:30. Breakfast is more of a late brunch, typically around 9 or 10, because Laila’s not in a rush— unless meat is involved. While she’s not big on food in general, meat? That’s her love language. During the day, Laila is all about relaxing. She rotates between sunbathing, napping on her beloved bean bag, and making her rounds to check in on her humans like the gentle, silent guardian she is. She’s incredibly affectionate and will lean her entire body into you for cuddles, pets, or just to say, “I’m here, and I love you.” Though she started off as a velcro dog, following her foster everywhere for comfort, she quickly blossomed into a relaxed, confident presence in the home. Evening walks happen around 5:30 PM, dinner at 7, and then it’s time for serious lounging— aka couch potato mode. Her final potty break is at 10 PM, after which she sleeps peacefully in her crate, ready to bark everyone awake again the next morning. Laila is incredibly well-mannered indoors— no counter surfing, no jumping on beds or tables, and she’s shown zero interest in barking at visitors, neighbors, or passing squirrels. She’s great on a leash (no pulling, no barking), and she gets along well with other dogs. She’s curious about cats but doesn’t chase or harass them. She loves people of all ages, though because of her size and occasional clumsiness, a home with knock-over-proof kids is ideal. She’s potty trained, crate-trained, and very quiet— aside from that adorable 7 AM alarm bark. She has been left home alone for short stretches of time and has behaved well. Laila isn’t the hiking or high-energy adventure type— she’s built for love, naps, sunbeams, and warm companionship. Her ideal home would be one where someone is around more often than not, and where snuggles are part of the daily routine. What sets Laila apart? Her soulful eyes, her lean-in snuggles, and of course, her punctual, one-bark-a-day schedule. She's the kind of dog who quietly checks in on everyone, settles down again with a sigh, and somehow makes the whole room feel a little more peaceful just by being there. Ready to wake up every day to love, loyalty, and Laila? She’s ready to be your favorite part of every morning—and every night, too. July 16, 2025, 11:18 am
