My story

Hey, I'm Cardi – and I'm not broken, I'm just built differently. Okay, so here's the deal: when I first came to the Appalachian Highlands Humane Society, I was in rough shape. I had a serious eye infection that needed a lot of care—but thanks to the amazing people here, I’m healthy, thriving, and living my best kitten life. My eye? Yeah, it looks a little different. It's permanent, but don’t get it twisted—it doesn’t hurt, and it doesn’t stop me from doing anything normal kittens do. I run, play, climb, purr, and chase things like a total pro. I just happen to look extra unique while doing it. Some people might see me and think I'm less adoptable, but I'm here to tell you: I'm not less—I might just be more. More one-of-a-kind. More character. More heart. More YOU.
