My story

Mascot was found on the streets of Manhattan by some good samaritans. Mascot is a 3 year-old, 12-pound male mix. He has adjusted very well during his time with his foster family in the city. Mascot enjoys his walks, getting to know his foster sisters, and learning new things. He appears to be house trained and will let you know when he needs to go out. He has had a patchy background, and still plays very much like a puppy by nipping and jumping up. His patient new family needs to take it slow with him, though we are proud to say that he has come a long way with his foster mom in a short period of time. He loves snuggling and this has been a great way to build trust with him. Mascot currently lives with other animals so has company during the day. He settles down quickly in his crate, though he has a special talent for pulling objects through! He would do very well in a home with other friendly dogs as his behavior around his foster sisters has been friendly and appropriate. We would recommend Mascot go to a home with no children as he does not do well with greetings and was noted to be a resource guarder at the Manhattan shelter. He is a really sweet little boy that deserves a safe and very loving home. Vaccinated Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella, heartworm negative, microchipped, and neutered. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
