My story

(DOB: 04/26/2025) Due to Poppy Lee’s young age, she has not yet been spayed. For this reason, we are only considering local placement (within a 1-hour drive time of Wake Forest, NC).  Meet Poppy Lee – Tiny Genius, Full-Time Goofball Poppy Lee is the kind of puppy that makes you wonder if she’s secretly reading self-help books at night. She’s sharp, sweet, and already mastering the art of being the best girl ever — and get this: with regular outings, she’s been totally accident-free in the house. That’s right. Potty training? Basically crushed it. She’s got puppy energy, but not the kind that destroys your shoes and your will to live. Poppy is playful, but polite — the kind of dog who knows how to read the room… and also how to get another dog to play chase without being annoying. She lives for canine companionship and would thrive with a dog sibling who’s down for some backyard shenanigans, so another playful pup in her furever home is something she looking for to be her buddy and her mentor! Big brother or big sister either one will work for Poppy Lee! Poppy is fabulous with kids, respectful of boundaries, and has no behavioral red flags. She’s just a happy, smart, social pup who somehow skipped the chaotic puppy phase and went straight to "ideal family member." If you’re looking for a dog who’s part BFF, part baby genius, and all heart — Poppy Lee’s your girl. Add to that, she isalready crate trained, loves to go for car rides, and would love a solid fenced in yard to play with her furry friends. Her new family would need to be committed to her puppy growth and lots of fun, playtime, walks on leash, and not be a family gone long periods of time. She is too young to left alone for long periods...this is an important time for her growth and development. If you’re looking for a dog who’s part BFF, part baby genius, and all heart — Poppy Lee’s your girl. As part of Poppy Lee’s $325 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. In addition to the adoption fee, a $100 spay/neuter deposit and puppy spay/neuter agreement will also be required. The deposit will be returned once the puppy is altered. If you have questions about this sweet girl, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Poppy, you can complete an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2445630##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Poppy Lee, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
