My story

Meet Grizzly Bear!  This 18-month-old, 17-pound terrier mix has gentle eyes, a constantly wagging tail, and a heart full of sweetness. He gets along great with other dogs and is both house and crate trained. Grizzly Bear recently had hip surgery but is healing well and doesn’t let it slow him down. After a tough start in life, he’s learning what it means to be safe and loved. He walks nicely on a leash, rides calmly in the car, and is ready for a forever home that will give him the care and affection he’s always deserved.  If you are interested in adopting Grizzly Bear, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.   **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **  July 15, 2025, 5:51 pm
