Meet Roxie – A Golden Girl with a Heart of Gold Estimated Age: 10–12 years Breed: Pomeranian Mix (best guess) Status: Looking for a loving retirement home Hi, I’m Roxie! I may not know my exact breed, but what I do know is that I’m a sweet, easygoing girl with a whole lot of love left to give. I spent most of my life with one person who loved me deeply. But when they became too ill to care for me, they made sure I’d be safe by placing me in the hands of a wonderful rescue and foster family. Thanks to them, I’ve had a soft landing—and now I’m ready to start this next chapter. I’m estimated to be around 10 to 12 years old, and while I move a little slower these days, I still get around just fine. I wear a diaper indoors (just one of those senior dog things), but otherwise I’m super low maintenance. I eat well, sleep soundly, drink lots of water, and peacefully share space with four other dogs in my foster home. I see well up close and enjoy calm, quiet spaces where I can wander, nap, or cuddle as I please. I’d be happiest in a peaceful retirement-style home where I can feel safe, loved, and unhurried. If you’re looking for a loyal little soul to share your days with—a calm companion who’s already walked through a lot and just wants peace and kindness—I might be the one.
