Elwood

My story

Elwood has always wanted to be a fairytale Prince. He has a big regal head and deserves a crown but unfortunately life hasn’t been that good or kind to him yet. Elwood found himself abandoned and on the streets searching for cover from the sun and a nice cool drink of water. Which ended him up in the pound and on the euthanize list because of no space. That’s where Elwood’s story began to change. He was given a second chance at life. Although he has been greatly let down by humans, he’s very optimistic and offers lots of tail wags. He’s a big fluffy dog that feels like you are hugging a teddy bear. He’s very loyal and wants to be close to his people but always ready to get some laughs as he’s learning how to be an inside dog. He’s starting to get the spark back in his eyes and he’s ready to be someone’s loving loyal companion. Elwood is working on crate training. He is working on longer periods of time in the crate. His foster mom works 12 hour shifts and he’s alone for eight hours on the day she works. He was found with a dog and was in the pound with a kennel, mate and did fine. He is still getting to know his foster dog siblings but seems a little reactive to his foster cat siblings. Elwood is learning to walk on a leash and gets an A+ at not pulling, jumping or barking at others. His foster mom is trying to teach him to sit and stay. He is potty trained and will hold it to go outside. Elwood is waiting for his fairytale ending and would love to meet you and give you a big hug.
