Sori Breed: Jindo Mix Age: 4 years old Weight: 15kg Sex: Neutered Male Color: Brown/Black/White Personality with People: Sori is an affectionate and people-oriented dog. He loves both men and women and readily approaches strangers, gently rubbing against them and allowing petting. He’s also great with children under 13 and is very tolerant and sweet around them. You can easily pick him up by gently placing your arms under his belly, and once he feels comfortable, he’ll even roll over to show his belly. Socialization with Dogs: Having lived tied up alone for a long time, Sori doesn’t show much interest in other dogs. He greets unfamiliar dogs with a wagging tail but doesn’t actively engage in play. Instead, no matter where he is, his eyes are always on people. He avoids high-energy dogs and won’t react even when another dog tries to provoke him—he simply walks away. Interaction with Cats: He hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but we can arrange a cat test upon request. Energy Level: Sori has a moderate energy level. He enjoys outdoor activities but is calm and relaxed once he returns home. Walking Behavior: Sori hasn’t had much experience with leashed walks, so he does pull on the leash, especially when he’s excited to explore. He tends to choose his own direction, but with consistent training and patience, his walking manners will improve. He absolutely loves going outside. Other Behavior: Sori doesn’t guard food from humans or other dogs, but due to his strong appetite, he may growl softly if he’s very hungry and worried about losing his meal. He doesn’t show aggression, just vocal warning. He doesn’t suffer from separation anxiety, but when he sees people nearby, he may bark a few times as if asking for attention. In fact, when the wildfire happened, neighbors heard him barking—his voice is what led to his rescue. He’s calm in a kennel and rides well in a car, though he drools quite a bit during car rides. He is currently house-trained and does his business outdoors. Rescue Story: In March of this year, a massive wildfire broke out in Andong, South Korea. Animal rescue teams rushed to the scene to help animals left behind. Sori was one of the lucky survivors, discovered and rescued from the affected area. He received medical treatment at the hospital from April to June (about 2 months) and has fully recovered. However, there are some areas where the fur hasn’t grown back. Sori is ready to find a forever home where he’ll never be left behind again. Could you be the one to give this gentle survivor the life he deserves?
