This 1.5-year-old Australian Shepherd mix weighs just 25lbs, but her personality is anything but small. True to her name, Honey Suckle is pure sweetness: affectionate, wiggly, playful, and always up for cuddles. She adores people and thrives on human connection—she’s the kind of pup who will gently rest her head in your lap or follow you around the house just to stay close. Her attentiveness is one of her standout traits. She has fantastic recall and loves staying near her people, making her a loyal and eager-to-please companion. Honey Suckle is still discovering the world and can be a little shy or unsure in new situations, especially when it comes to walking on leash. But don’t worry—she’s a quick learner and gains confidence with gentle encouragement and positive experiences. Like most Aussies, she's incredibly smart and trainable. She gets along beautifully with the toddler in her foster home and is wonderfully social with other dogs—playful but polite. She’d be happy in a home with another dog friend or as your one-and-only pup. She even coexists peacefully with the resident cat, respecting his space while staying friendly and curious. This good girl is crate trained and settles quietly when left alone, even sleeping through the night in her crate. She's making great progress with house training and does very well when kept on a schedule and given regular potty breaks. Honey Suckle would thrive in a home where she gets lots of love, positive reinforcement, and a bit of patience as she continues learning about the world. Honey Suckle is a 1.5-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $500 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and spay. Honey Suckle is also tested with other dogs, cats, children, and potty and kennel trained. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if she might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).
