My story

Courtesy Post – Meet Jax! NOTE JAX IS NOT AT THE SHELTER Jax is a 5-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix with a big heart, playful spirit, and a truly one-of-a-kind look (yes, those are two different colored eyes!). His family is making the difficult decision to rehome him due to changes in their household—particularly the needs of their senior dog, who is no longer able to keep up with Jax’s energy. After a long and loving search for a new home, they’re now asking for help to find the right match. Jax is: Neutered Potty trained Good with kids and dogs (but would thrive in a home where he’s the only pet) Friendly with visitors once he’s had a moment to settle Protective of his home—he’ll bark to alert you if someone approaches Jax has lived happily both indoors and outdoors, and loves walks, fetch, and cuddling up with his humans. He’s also a bit of a goofball—his favorite pastime? Suckling on stuffed animals while lounging on his bed! He’s also a natural in front of the camera and loves striking a pose for photos. While Jax has previously lived with another dog and young children, his current owner recommends a home without other pets or small kids so he can truly shine and get the one-on-one attention he craves. A note on behavior: Jax can get excited around new people, especially if they’re nervous around dogs. But once he’s had a sniff and knows you’re a friend, he’ll settle right in. He also likes to jump along fences when other animals are nearby—but he’s quiet when the neighborhood is. Jax has been a beloved companion for the past three years, and his family is heartbroken to let him go, but hopeful he’ll find a home where he can be cherished and given the attention he deserves. Located in Woodland, CA Posted: Sunday, April 6, 2025 For more information or to meet Jax, please contact: Noreen (916) 769-1142 noreen.a.hassan@gmail.com Please note: Jax is not at the shelter. This is a courtesy post to help him find a loving new home. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
