My story

Moto Moto may weigh in at 105 pounds, but it’s his calm and loving nature that truly makes him larger than life. This big-hearted boy has already started stealing hearts at BARCS with his mellow personality and gentle soul.Out on walks, Moto Moto is a dream—no pulling, no rushing, just an easygoing companion who stays right by your side. He’s unfazed by other dogs or distractions, and if you feel like taking a break, he’s perfectly content to sit beside you and enjoy the moment.Though he can be a little shy at first, Moto Moto warms up with gentle encouragement. Once he knows you, he’ll happily lean in for butt scratches and full-body pets. He’s a sweet, quiet boy who enjoys peaceful yard time and calm companionship. This handsome boy knows sit and appears housetrained at the shelter.Moto Moto is a 7-year-old sweetheart who recently went on a Dog’s Day Out adventure—and he couldn’t have been a more perfect companion.He enjoyed a peaceful walk through the state park, staying close by his handler’s side the entire time without pulling. Calm and content, he simply enjoyed being out in nature with his human. In the car, this gentle giant settled right into his handler’s lap, soaking up all the affection he could get. Later, they stopped for lunch, where Moto Moto got a special treat of chicken and whipped cream for dessert. Once he finished his meal, he waited patiently while the humans ate, quietly watching people walk by with sweet curiosity and never begging.Moto Moto made the day truly special with his calm demeanor and affectionate nature. He’s a big love bug who’s ready to find his forever family—one lucky enough to experience just how wonderful he is.Moto Moto has met other dog friends at the shelter. He does best with other gentle pups who match his laid-back vibe.I`m a VIP because I`m still learning, and the shelter can be a tough place for dogs like me to shine. But I’ve got a whole team cheering me on!Here are a few things the staff and volunteers are helping me with:• Working with my handlers to manage my reaction to squirrels or other small animals• Learning that the world isn`t so scaryIf you`re patient and open-hearted, I could be your best friend. I`m available for either adoption or foster—both will help me tremendously! When you visit, a staff member can walk you through what’s been working for me and how you can keep the progress going at home.
