My story

ABOUT MINOS This big boy is a 4-year-old shepherd mix, weighing roughly 90 lbs. Minos came to HAP from San Antonio, Texas, following the devastating floods. While we aren't too sure of his past, Minos is definitely a more lowkey pup. He has a quiet confidence and a strong sense of independence. He enjoys doing his own thing and prefers to take his time when getting to know new people. Once he gets to know you and feels comfortable, Minos shows his affectionate side. He would thrive in a home that respects his need for personal space and understands that not every dog wants constant attention. Minos enjoys calm walks, lounging in cozy spots, and observing the world around him. He’s the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a more low-key, respectful relationship with their dog. If you're looking for a loyal companion who values independence just like you do, Minos might be your perfect match! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
