My story

Meet Rutabaga, a sweet little grey kitten with a heart full of love! She is a big fan of playtime, slaying toy mice and pouncing on her unsuspecting siblings. Rutabaga is also quite good at cuddling and purring, once it’s time for quiet time. She can’t wait to bring joy and snuggles to her new family. Apply to adopt to schedule a meet and greet with Rutabaga and Artichoke.  Most kitties will also be attending our weekly adoption event on Saturday, 12-4pm at PetSmart, Bleachery Blvd. Get $50 off the adoption fee for a pair of kittens. All cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, FELV/FIV tested, microchipped, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative. All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.
