My story

Hope is a 5-year-old, 8-pound Chinese Crested Powder Puff who has already lived a lifetime of hardship—but her name says it all. Rescued from heartbreaking conditions in a puppy mill, Hope has shown incredible strength and spirit. She fought to survive, and now she’s learning what it means to be safe, loved, and spoiled—just as she deserves. Hope is discovering the joys of soft beds, gentle hands, and belly rubs. She’s very expressive and vocal when she wants food or attention (which is often!), and she absolutely loves to snuggle. Whether she’s the only dog or one of a pack, she’s content as long as she’s with someone who cares. Since she’s still new to the world outside the mill, Hope is learning about grass, loud noises, and walking on a leash. Because she hasn’t mastered leash-walking yet, a secure fenced yard is required to keep her safe as she continues to build confidence. This little girl is truly one-of-a-kind. Hope is ready for her next chapter—a peaceful, loving forever home where she can continue to heal, grow, and thrive. Hope is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, heart worm negative and on heartworm preventative, had a dental, and microchipped. Hope’s adoption fee is $375.00.
