My story

Meet our newest oldest mostly toothless-est Morkie girl Rosie! Surrendered sadly due to her owner’s failing health, this sweet little 13 year old is still full of life and acts half her age. She only has 3 teeth left and weighs under 8lbs, but is full of personality and has a happy go lucky social presence about her. She was just spayed and had 2 small mammary masses removed (biopsy pending this week), is healing nice and just about ready for a home. Rosie LOVES people and hates being left alone- has been super social meeting everyone and the life of the party but barks and howls when alone. She’s better if left alone with another dog but still would prefer someone home most of the time with her. She was used to mostly wee wee pads but goes outside when taken on walks also. She can be a bit fresh and bossy with other dogs at times, and scares dogs 4x her size with her attitude but does well with calm non-aggressive dogs once she gets used to them. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.
