My story

From the streets to snuggles — Batata is living his glow-up era!   His perfect day starts with a scratchy little meow (he demands breakfast with that charming raspy voice), followed by a full-body stretch and some morning curiosity patrol — any new sound in the house will be investigated. He spends his afternoons as a fearless toy hunter: quick reflexes, iron jaw, and zero intention of letting go. Tug-of-war? He invented it.   When the sun hits just right, he melts into a soft nap… and when you reach down to pet him, his little butt lifts with delight. He's also obsessed with being brushed. And while he might not always come when called, don’t be surprised when you wake up and he’s curled beside you, purring softly like he’s always belonged. Batata’s got a fighter’s spirit and a lover’s heart — now he just needs a home to call his own.   We brought in Batata from the streets of Brownsville when we met him during a TNR project. A kind neighbor had been feeding him after his original owners had put him outside.   Batata is 1 year old, neutered, up to date on vaccines, free of fleas and parasites, and negative for FIV/FeLV.
