My story

Meet Manny — a cheerful, happy-go-lucky pup who’s ready to bring joy to his future family! This easygoing guy is a total pleasure to be around. Manny knows “sit,” takes treats eagerly (but ever so gently!), and absolutely loves soaking up affection. He enjoys learning and engaging, and is working on “come” and “down.” Whether he’s out for a walk or just hanging out by your side, Manny’s calm and friendly nature shines through. He’s currently working on his leash skills and making great progress — always aiming to please.Manny recently got a break from the shelter on a Dog’s Day Out adventure, and he absolutely made the most of it! He was a polite passenger in the car. He stopped by Petco with a volunteer, where he carefully picked out a treat and charmed everyone he met along the way.Described as curious, patient, and a perfect gentleman, Manny showed off his excellent manners throughout the outing and was friendly and respectful with everyone he met—including a 10-year-old who joined the adventure! Manny is the kind of dog who takes everything in stride and makes every outing feel easy and enjoyable. He loves snuggles, pats, and hearing he is a “good boy”.Manny recently enjoyed a cozy overnight with a volunteer, and this sweet boy made himself right at home! He was calm and easygoing, preferring to chill out and soak up some quiet time with his new friend. Manny is housebroken and did just fine in his crate. During his stay, Manny met two new people and greeted them like a true gentleman—walking right up for a polite sniff and then happily accepting gentle pets and treats. He took snacks eagerly but with a soft mouth, showing off his sweet and respectful manners.While toys didn’t catch his attention, Manny was much more focused on staying close and sharing affection. He’s the kind of pup who finds joy in simply being near his person, making him a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loving friend.Manny has met other dogs at the shelter and does best with gentle, polite friends. He should meet any potential doggie roommates to ensure it’s a good match. He’s also eligible to return to BARCS for social sessions.If you’re looking for a sweet, laid-back companion with a big heart, Manny might be the perfect fit. Come to BARCS to meet him!
