Meet Yzma—a smart, food-motivated pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart! This clever girl already knows “sit,” “down,” and “shake,” and she’s always eager to learn more, especially when treats are involved. Her love of food makes her a fun and focused training partner, and she’s sure to thrive in a home where she can continue showing off her smarts. She loves playing in the yard chasing after toys. Yzma gives gentle little kisses when sitting beside you, leaning in for pets as she watches the world go around. She has a calm demeanor and is an “easy does it” go-with-the-flow type of sweet gal. She appears to be housebroken. This 3-year-old queen of chill hopped right into the car for her Dog’s Day Out adventure with a volunteer like she’d been riding shotgun her whole life. The ultimate Passenger Princess™, she didn’t make a sound the whole ride — unless you count the adorable snoring coming from the backseat. They hit Patapsco for a quick 1.5-mile nature stroll, and Yzma was living her best forest fairy life. She walked like a dream, taking her time sniffing the good sniffs.Afterwards, they stopped by M8 Beer where Yzma turned into a full-blown wiggly celebrity — charming Orioles (and Savannah Bananas!) fans, brewery staff, and anyone lucky enough to be within petting distance. Her grand finale? A blissed-out nap on the cold brewery floor.Yzma has been making the most of lots of Dog’s Day Out adventures, and she’s been charming everyone she meets along the way! In Ellicott City, she enjoyed a sweet ice cream treat and a lovely walk through town, taking it all in with her energetic and loving spirit. Described as fun, responsive, and full of personality, Yzma is always eager to engage. She also had a blast visiting Federal Hill, where she loved meeting new people and proudly showed off her knowledge of basic commands.Yzma has met other dogs at the shelter and has let us know she prefers to be the only pet in the home. She can feel uncomfortable around other dogs, so she’s looking for a family where she can be your one and only. That said, she’s eligible to come back to BARCS for social sessions if you`d like to continue working on her doggie manners with professional support.Yzma is ready to be your errand buddy, patio pal, hiking homie, and nap-time soulmate. She’s got it all — brains, beauty, and the heart of a snuggly adventurer. Come down to BARCS to meet Yzma!
