My story

Say hello to Kraven! This handsome 2-year-old Husky mix ended up on the shelter’s euthanasia list for being a little too mouthy. As a young, energetic pup who hadn’t had much training and was feeling cooped up in a noisy kennel, who could really blame him? From the moment we met him, Kraven showed no aggression and all of his sweet personality. He was definitely a misunderstood boy in the shelter, but we’re so glad we were able to step in and give him the chance he deserves. He’s ready to find a family who will help him grow into the amazing companion he’s meant to be. Kraven is currently thriving in foster care with six other dogs. While he initially showed some guarding over his people and the couch, he quickly adjusted and has become part of the pack without issue. He loves to play with the other dogs, and is a big fan of kisses and cuddled. His favorite place to sneak in a nap is right on the bed, of course! He’s medium energy, and happiest when he’s close to his people. He does well in a crate, and his leash manners are still a work in progress (he pulls a bit). He’s food-motivated and affectionate, and he’s already picking up on good habits with consistency and routine. Kraven would do well in an active household with a dog sibling who can match his playful energy. He’s great with the other dogs in his foster home and has shown he can adapt well to pack life. He’s also a good fit for a home with kids of all ages. While he still has some puppy-like mouthiness, it’s nothing that basic training can’t fix. He has not been exposed to cats, though he does have a lot of energy. We may be able to do an intro for the right fit.
